About Principal Sorrentino

Dear Middletown City Schools Families and Community Members,

It is with great pleasure that I extend a heartfelt welcome to all our scholars, parents, educators, and members of our community. As the principal of Maple Hill Annex at Truman Moon, I am passionately committed to fostering an environment that nurtures growth, learning, and the pursuit of excellence for every scholar within our care.

My journey with the Middletown School District is a long and rewarding one, deeply rooted in this community as a proud graduate of Middletown High School, Class of 1987. Since beginning my career as an educator in January of 1992, I have been privileged to serve in a variety of roles across the district. From my early days teaching at Memorial Elementary and JW Chorley to my tenure at Middletown High School, both in the classroom and as the Special Education Department Chairperson and House Principal, every step has enriched my understanding of our scholars' diverse needs and aspirations.

My administrative path has also led me through significant roles as principal at Monhagen Middle School and Middletown High School, culminating in my current position at the Maple Hill Annex at Truman Moon. This broad spectrum of experiences has left me with a profound appreciation for the unique journey of each scholar, guiding my dedication to ensuring our Annex serves as a beacon of encouragement, engagement, and excellence.

At the Maple Hill Annex, our commitment extends beyond academic achievement; we are equally focused on fostering the personal development and well-being of our scholars. Our mission is to arm them with the critical skills, knowledge, and resilience required to thrive in a constantly changing global landscape.
